To help support a close friend come to terms with his loss, we decided to dust down those 80's and 90's classics, seek out the very best artists who had been involved throughout the years, add some exciting new talent, and finally finish the album that we started writing 32 years ago, by blending some of the finest pop and rock sounds around. Think Steely Dan meets the Eagles, meets Gerry Rafferty, meets the Beatles, and you'll get a good idea of our influences.
All proceeds will go to Macmillan Cancer Support, and our target is to raise £50,000.
The entire cost of the project including the manufacture of 2000CDs, recording, mastering, hotels, filming, website and more than 1000 hours has been donated to the project by the musicians for the benefit of Macmillan Cancer Support.
After 2 years of recording and 3 months of final mixing and mastering, our CD album has now been released and features 9 upbeat poprock classics filled to the brim with harmony vocals, guitars, driving bass, mandolin, sax, piano, drums, percussion and keyboards. Two of the tracks from 25 Years Afloat on the Deep Blue Sea were re-written and rearranged to reflect the circustances which went on to inspire the project. In terms of "giving", we have tried to reflect every budget by providing a choice of how much to pay; £4.00, £7.50 or £10.00. If you all will be explained.
You only get the physical CD complete with the 12 page colour booklet, full songs lyrics, history of the band and photos throughout the last 32 years when you order from this website.
